A magnificent ski chalet and excellent summer retreat in the heart of the Solitude Mountain Resort. Resting just 50 yards from the resort's main Apex chair lift, Apex House is the perfect base camp for an unforgettable winter or summer vacation. It provides an exciting and active destination for hiking, biking, and relaxing in one of Utah’s most scenic canyons. Located just outside the Solitude Mountain Village, the house is also conveniently located to ski and bike rentals, hiking trails, restaurants, spas, and shopping. It’s also less than 40 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City.

After a day of skiing or hiking, you can enjoy soaking in the hot tub, cozy up to one of the five fireplaces, and enjoy views of skiers or wildflowers from the two-story windows that give expansive views of the mountain. With a large, fully equipped kitchen, you can also enjoy cooking a homemade meal or visit one of the many village restaurants that are just steps away.

Complete with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, the house makes an ideal gathering space for large groups while still maintaining a cozy feeling for smaller groups. All bedrooms include premium linens, bedding, extra pillows, and blankets. Two family room areas allow for both adult and kid zones to enjoy music, games, and movies. You and your guests will enjoy the sound of the crackling fire, the warmth of the radiant floors, the boot-room with individual locker spaces, and overall design and craftsmanship of this elegant home. Apex House is truly the ultimate ski-in-ski-out destination.

First Floor
- Bedroom 1: King bed with ensuite featuring a jetted tub, shower, and double sinks
- Bedroom 2: King bed and twin bed with ensuite
- Bedroom 3: King bed and full size futon sofa
- Bedroom 4: 2 twin bunk beds (4 total) and full size sofa sleeper
Second Floor
- Bedroom 5: Twin bunk bed (2 total) and queen murphy bed

Things we love about this home:
- The Apex chair lift is only 50 yards from the front door.
- Huge living room windows give wonderful views of the mountain
- Big fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere to watch skiers descend the hill and enjoy the company of your loved ones

Other things to note:
- Dogs/pets are prohibited anywhere in Big Cottonwood Canyon due to watershed.
- 4WD or snow chains are required in Big Cottonwood Canyon during winter months and will be necessary to get to the house during the snow season.
- Sleeps 15 in beds with additional sofa sleepers available.
- The home is equipped with security cameras that only monitor the exterior of the home and property.

Great location. Lots of room. Great for a family with four daughters and significant others. One daughter was married over the weekend and APEX worked wonderfully.

The Apex house is a unique property. Easily the biggest and nicest house at Solitude village - where it is mostly condos and some townhouses. Very short walk to the Apex lift. Tons of space and amazing views from the living room area. Kids were playing in their rooms, others playing xbox downstairs while parents were hanging out in the living room upstairs. Overall an excellent ski trip. If you are looking to rent a house with a large group I would highly recommend this house versus getting multiple condo units. The host was very responsive often getting back to our messages in minutes. The coffee machine didn't work and they sent us a new one the next morning.

Wonderful house with amazing amenities. Loved the outdoor fire pit and hot tub. Great house for 5 families including young kids. Located at apex base with short walk to the lift and the resort base. Would love to stay here again.

This was the most fun our family has had in years! The Apex Lodge is spacious (we had 4 couples, each with 1-3 children), very clean, the kitchen is huge and well stocked, the view is just wonderful. If you’re thinking the lift might be a little close to the cabin and that you won’t have as much privacy as you’d like, think again! The privacy glass is great and the skiers won’t even know you’re there, but being in the living room with that backdrop is awesome. The wood fireplace completes the whole vibe of this place as well. The host is very responsive and helpful. Any questions or concerns we had were very quickly and effectively handled. My family is already talking about our next trip. You won’t regret booking the Apex Lodge!

Premier ski in ski out property

This property is absolutely perfect for skiers looking for an access to the slopes. Or it’s great to host and have large family gatherings over. It’s main floor has a ample space with an open living room to kitchen plan. The rest of the home is great and the bathrooms and sleeping spaces are abundant. You won’t feel cramped in the This home with a large party. Probably the best property on solitude ski resort for skiing. Definitely property to save as a return destination. Cleanliness was excellent and the kitchen was well stocked. The house had excess linens and towels. Also featured two sets of washers and dryers.

The Apex House was a perfect stay! Spacious enough for 18 of us to sleep comfortably. The views of the mountain from the living room and balcony were incredible. Huge kitchen! Outside gas fireplace was a hit and we used the hot tub daily. The house is clean and well stocked with cookware/supplies. Although we didn't use it, there is a wood fire pit in the back yard and a creek running through. Extremely close to Solitude Village and everything the resort has to offer. The blinds are electric and a little finicky, but the owner let us know they are working on the issue. The owner also did a great job working with us throughout the booking and our stay. Hope to have another great time at the Apex House in the future!

We had an amazing stay at this house - the pictures don't do the space justice. We particularly enjoyed the fire area by the creek in the back, the fire pit on the deck, and the hot tub. Communication with the hosts was seamless, and the house is fully stocked for cooking and everything else we needed. We had a fairly large group, and the space was great for this many people - multiple fridges and laundry machines, different spaces to relax in, and plenty of room for eating together.

We had a fantastic time at the Apex house. We had 15 people and the place handled us easily. When we got to town there was a crew clearing all the snow off of the walkways and decks which was very helpful. House is well maintained and accommodates a large group very well. Very easy to ski in/ski out. Highlights of the house: Front deck, kitchen (huge) hot tub, ski gear room, and location. We plan on coming back.

What a wonderful property located just at base of the Apex lift at Solitude. The Apex home comes as advertised with everything you need to complete your dream ski vacation. If you like to cook in, you've come to the right place as the home is equipped with everything you need to cook for larger groups. You are literally steps away from skiing and steps away from Solitude Village that is home to The Honeycomb Grill, The Thirsty Squirrel and more!
